A quiet and scenic area which goes from the port of Owen Sound past the rugged rocky shores and clear water of Georgian Bay and Colpoys Bay to miles of quiet sand beaches on Lake Huron and through peaceful farming areas. See the cascading eighty foot high waterfall at Inglis Falls near Owen Sound and visit the home of Wiarton Willie, the world famous groundhog weather forecaster who makes his prediction each February. It is a pleasant 80 kilometer ride from Owen Sound to Southampton and Port Elgin on Lake Huron.

Enjoy the popular Summerfolk Music and Craft Festival, late August in Owen Sound and check for local special events happening most summer weekends in the resort towns of Port Elgin and Southampton.

The Beaver Valley is unique and scenic with steep hills on each side, which meet at Kimberley. This is a beautiful area which suits cyclists at all levels - an easy ride on the hard packed gravel Georgian Trail with access to beaches on Georgian Bay between Meaford and Collingwood, a moderate 20 kilometer ride up the scenic valley to Kimberley or a challenging 40 kilometer ride on to Flesherton and Markdale.

The Saugeen River valley is a rural countryside experience with small towns, quiet roads and an Amish Mennonite farming area. Bicycling between Paisley, Chesley, Hanover, Mildmay and Formosa makes a pleasant 100 kilometer ride. The reminders of the past are everywhere with rushing water past mills and mill ruins. Visit and sample the brew from two historic breweries still in operation on the route, the 1859 Neustadt Springs Brewery and the 1870 Formosa Springs Brewery. The area is also well known as a wonderful place in which to canoe and kayak.
