This is one of the most popular areas for bicycling in Ontario, centered on the peninsula of Prince Edward County. Enjoy scenic rolling countryside, waterfront views, sand beaches, camping, great restaurants. Sample the wines and cider near Wellington, Waupoos and Milford. Bike on quiet country roads, explore historic villages and visit cheese factories. Stop at Lake on the Mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of the Glenora Ferry.   
Picton is the historic and picturesque hub of You can enjoy bicycling distances of up to 60 kilometers for several days while staying in the charming and historic town of Picton. Take the bridge across the Bay of Quinte to visit the native craft shops of the Tyendinaga First Nation near Deseronto, see Belleville’s revitalized waterfront and the Glanmore Victorian mansion National Historic Site or take the Glenora Ferry to get to Napanee or continue east to historic Kingston.

Picton is a great starting point for a multiday bike ride loops going west or east on the Waterfront Trail and then north to Rice Lake, Campbellford and Tweed.

A package route guide is available for a 5 day “Lake Ontario and Trent Canal" ride with a 60 or 100 kilometer average distance per day including turn-by-turn directions, accommodation suggestions, restaurants and attractions. Starting at Picton, you bike through Cobourg or Port Hope north to Rice Lake and the Trent Canal. The 60 kilometer per day ride crosses the Bay of Quinte at Deseronto. The 100 kilometer per day ride includes Kingston and the Glenora Ferry. Luggage transfer and accommodation reservations are available.
